I get asked this a lot, so here's my honest take. If you're already working and can't afford to pause your career for two years, then yes, it's worth it — but only if you pick the right university.
A proper online MCA course in India from a UGC-entitled institution carries the same value as a regular MCA on paper. Recruiters mostly care about the university's name and your project work, not whether your classes happened on campus or on a laptop.
